Are lessons free?
|
No. Please visit the prices page to see our service charges.

What equipment do I need?
|
You will need to have Skype installed on your PC or Mac and you will need to have a good quality microphone. The best kind of microphone is a headset microphone like the one you see in the picture.

Do I need a fast Internet connection?
|
Yes. You can not have online lessons if you have a dial-up connection. The faster your broadband connection, the better the sound quality and speed of the webconferencing in lessons will be.

What are the teachers like?
|
Our two teachers, Jonathan and Mark have more than 30 years of teaching experience between them. Jonathan is a full-time online language teacher and Mark is a full-time classroom teacher.
We both have clear British English accents and we adapt our speaking style to the level of our students.

What kind of teaching methods do you use?
|
In our lessons, you will have to communicate more than you usually do in classroom lessons. We also give positive, constructive feedback to our students at all times. We think learning English should be enjoyable and stress-free.

What can I do after lessons?
|
If you join the Online English Centre, our social community and practise area for students you will be able to practise your English 24/7. In addition, we share documents with our students using Google Documents so that you can practise what you studied in a lesson after the class.

What materials do you use?
|
We create our own lesson materials with students and use the best of what is available on the Internet. You will find that our lesson material quality is much higher than anything else you can find on the Internet.
|
What kind of lessons do you offer?
|
We offer lessons in General English, Conversational English, Business English, IELTS exam practise, Pronunciation as well as for any specific needs of our students.

Can I get a demonstration?
|
Yes. You can have a free 15-30 minute demonstration and discussion with a teacher online on Skype. The teacher will show you how the lesson system works, how you can book lessons online and the software that we use in the lessons. You can also ask any questions you have about the system.

Can I listen to a lesson again?
|
Yes.

Do you teach at weekends?
|
Yes.

When can I contact a teacher?
|
You can contact your English teacher by email or on Skype and you can also ask your teacher questions about English whenever you like with a My E-Teacher subscription.

When do I have lessons?
|
This depends on you and what you want to do. We do not used fixed timetables so we are flexible to the needs of our students at all times.
|
How many lessons will I need?
|
This depends on you and your learning objectives and some learners need more time than others of course. You will find that studying online is more intensive than classroom teaching so you should make more improvements in a shorter time.
